The Mental Wellness Workshop was successfully conducted on 3rd September 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Good Shepherd Hall, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science. The awareness programme was organized by the Counselling and Mental Wellbeing Cell with the objective of promoting emotional and psychological well-being, encouraging open conversations about mental health, and equipping participants with practical coping strategies.The programme commenced at 2:00 PM with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, reflecting cultural respect and unity, followed by a warm welcome address to greet the participants, speakers, and dignitaries. The guest speakers were formally introduced, setting the context for the workshop and highlighting the importance of mental wellness in academic and personal life.
The core of the programme was the Mental Wellness Workshop, led by Ms. Srishakthi V, Counselling Psychologist, which actively engaged the participants. The session provided valuable insights into managing stress, emotional regulation, and maintaining psychological balance in today’s fast-paced environment. Students actively participated in discussions and gained practical knowledge and coping strategies to enhance their mental well-being.
Following the workshop, Mr. Ramji, Founder of Dhruti Trust, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of mental health awareness, early support, and collective responsibility in building a mentally healthy community. This was followed by an inspiring address by Rev. Justin Jose, Student Chaplain, who motivated the participants with thoughtful reflections on resilience, hope, and emotional strength.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the speakers, organizers, and participants for their active involvement and support. The event formally ended at 3:30 PM, marking the successful completion of a meaningful and impactful session.Overall, the Mental Wellness Workshop was well-coordinated and effective in creating awareness, inspiring participants, and reinforcing the importance of mental well-being. The event left a positive and lasting impression, encouraging students to prioritize mental health and seek support when needed.
