About the Department

"Placement is a measure of the success of graduation and sets the trajectory for a student’s career"

At Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), the Department of Placements serves as the bridge between education and industry, guiding students as they take their first steps into the professional world. • Opportunity: Strong corporate partnerships enable on-campus, virtual, and pool campus drives. Students gain real-world exposure through internships, industrial visits, tech talks, and live projects.
  • Growth: Career guidance for higher education, entrepreneurship, and start-up initiatives equips students to explore multiple career pathways. Research and analysis ensure alignment with emerging industry trends.

Message from the Head

Arivazhagan-placement.jpg

Mr. S. Arivazhagan

Manager – Training & Placement, HITS

The journey from education to employment is often spoken of as a simple step, but in truth it is a profound transition. It is the moment when years of learning are tested against the realities of an ever-changing world. A career today is not a straight road; it is a landscape shaped by new technologies, shifting economies, and the constant demand for adaptability.

In such a world, success does not belong only to those with strong academic records. It belongs to those who can think clearly, communicate effectively, and carry themselves with resilience. Recruiters tell us time and again that while technical competence is essential, what truly sets a candidate apart is humility to learn, integrity in action, and the ability to work with others in a spirit of collaboration.

At Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science, we nurture these qualities alongside technical knowledge. We believe placements are not the end of a student’s education, but the beginning of a larger journey. Our efforts are not merely to secure offers, but to prepare our students to carry values, skills, and confidence that will help them grow long after their first role.

It is here that our motto - “To make every man a success and no man a failure” - finds its deepest meaning. Success is not defined by a single job, a designation, or a salary. It is defined by the ability to remain curious in the face of challenges, to adapt when circumstances change, and to create impact that goes beyond personal gain. This is the spirit we want every graduate of HITS to embody.

In my experience, those who achieve lasting success are not necessarily the ones who start the fastest, but the ones who stay true to their values, remain grounded, and never lose the willingness to learn. It is this balance of knowledge and character that transforms opportunities into meaningful careers.

As the Placement Office, our role is to stand beside our students in this journey - guiding, preparing, and connecting them to the right opportunities. But the ultimate responsibility lies with each individual: to take what has been given to them here, and to use it wisely in shaping not only their own future, but also contributing to the larger society they step into.

Mr. S.
