The purpose of the University's Centre for Professional and Career Development is to ensure that:
• Students are properly trained in the skills they need to carry out the jobs which are acceptable to the University and its customers;
• Students are provided with the skills they may need for changes in the way jobs are carried out;
As far as possible, students are encouraged to develop their skills and talents to enable them to progress within the University and reach their full potential.
The University is committed to making the most effective use of the talents, skills and abilities of its students and to helping all students maximize the contribution they can make.
Opportunities for training will be based on an assessment of students development needs, irrespective of their gender, age, disability, race, colour, ethnic or national origin or sexual orientation.

Business English Communication Skills (BEC) | BEC is a 40hr programme offered to all students, in order to enhance their English and Communication skills. Students can appear for the different levels of examination i.e. Preliminary/Vantage/Higher and obtain the certification accordingly from University of Cambridge. The IELTS and TOEFL exams are used by foreign universities to assess the English language ability of applicants. IELTS is widely used in UK, Australia and also recognized by most American and Canadian universities, including Harvard Business School.TOEFL is used mainly by American universities, though accepted in UK and Australia. This training is imparted to the students in collaboration with Ebek to enable them take up the said examinations. |

"C" Programming | C is one of the most widely used programming languages of all time and C compilers are available for the majority of available computer architectures and operating systems. C++ is a general purpose programming language. It has imperative, object-oriented and generic programming features, while also providing the facilities for low level memory manipulation. A 30 hour hands on experience is provided to students towards certification in "C" and C++. |

CADD Centre | CADD Centre offers Courses at the university campus in Advanced Diploma Certification and a Diploma Certification in CAD. These courses will help budding engineers to have a clear understanding of CAD tools. CNC Laser Machinery | Computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines are essential pieces of equipment in most modern factories, manufacturing plants, and machinist shops. In the past, workers manually controlled the heavy equipment used to cut, shape, and form products from raw wood and metals. Students, who join for this 3 days intensive training, would be able to program and operate CNC machines and also they will be familiar with the hardware of CNC Machine. |

Computed Fluid Dynamics | Computational fluid dynamics, usually abbreviated as CFD, is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical methods and algorithms to solve and analyze problems that involve fluid flows. Computers are used to perform the calculations required to simulate the interaction of liquids and gases with surfaces defined by boundary conditions. This is a 30hr certification course offered to students with industrial collaborations. |

GRE, CAT, GMAT | The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for most graduate schools in the United States. This exam aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study. They are held many times during the year. GRE is a tough exam to crack as this score is being used as an admission criterion by many Universities all over the world. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India including the IIMs. It is one of the most competitive exams in the country. The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)is a computer adaptive test which seeks to assess a person's analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in standard written English in preparation for being admitted into a graduate management program, such as an MBA. The GMAT does not measure business knowledge or skill. It is held several times per year. It is US based but one can appear in India also. Coaching for all these examinations are provided for the students on campus so as to provide them with a hassle free approach to their career objectives |

SWEBOK ( SCP) | SWEBOK Certificate Program (SCP) aims to raise the skill levels of recipients and further prepare them to join the global workforce. The IEEE Computer Society SWEBOK Certificate Program (SCP) is intended to help college students and graduates bridge the gap between their educations and careers. A precursor to the Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) credential, the SCP is based on the Guide to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK), the authoritative resource for software engineering best practices and knowledge.
