'Strive to uphold the values of Constitution'
Hindustan School of Law, a constituent of Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), celebrated the NATIONAL LAW DAY on 27 November 2023. Addressing the students who took pledge by reciting the Preamble, Dr. Muthukumar Subrahmanian, Registrar urged the students to live up to the values of the Constitution. It is for the youth to imbibe the values enshrined in the Basic Law of the land. The freedom that the people are enjoying now is the result of sacrifices made by our earlier generations in freedom struggle. Presiding over the function Dr. P. V. N. Sarma, Dean, School of Law stressed the need to read and observe the Fundamental Duties under Article 51 A. He pointed out that the country is passing through a critical phase, where the constitutional values are under threat and it is the time to defend and protect the values. Dr. Geni Philipose, Head, School of Law administered the oath. As many as 150 students took oath of 'preamble'. Mr. Hariraman, Assistant Professor, SOL proposed vote of thanks and the program concluded with the national anthem.
