School of Aeronautical Sciences

The School of Aeronautical Sciences had a memorable Alumni Meet on 18 December 2021. Extending our heartfelt gratitude to every alumnus who participated in the event and made it a huge success. All the dignitaries of HITS presided over the meeting. The event was hosted by Ms. E. Ranjitha, A.P, SAS, HITS (B. Tech Aero 2014). Mr. G. Dinesh Kumar, AP (SG), AERO, was the organiser for the event. Dr. R. Asokan, Head, AERO, gave the welcoming address, highlighting the motivation for organising this alumni event. He stated that the institution's alumni serve as role models for college students and mentioned the Aero Department's forthcoming 25th anniversary (Silver Jubilee) celebration.

The meeting was graced by Dr S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, Dr.R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean (Engineering & Technology) who briefed on the HITS Alumni Association and greeted all alumni for the Annual Meet 2021. The President of the HITS Alumni Association, Mr. B. N. Kamal, then addressed the gathering. He mentioned that "alumni are great role models for current students and are often well placed to offer practical support to students as they start their careers." He also stated, "Alumni are the National and International ambassadors of the college." HITS Alumni activities were briefed by Mr. G. Dinesh Kumar, Assistant Professor (S.G), SAS & Department Alumni Coordinator, who also highlighted the achievements and contributions of our alumni. Dr. Vansanthkumar, Head, Aerospace, proposed the vote of thanks.

School of Computing Sciences

On 18 December, 2021, the School of Computing Sciences (CSE, IT, and MCA) celebrated their annual alumni reunion on the virtual platform. Around 175 alumni from all across the world attended, making it an unforgettable occasion. The reunion was presided over by all HITS dignitaries and HITSAA office bearers.

The welcome address was given by Dr. P. Ranjana, Prof. & Head-MCA. Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean (Engineering & Technology), addressed the gathering and welcomed all alumni to the Annual Meet 2021. Followed with this, all HITSAA activities were presented by Ms. Pragatha V S, (Dy. Reg. Alumni Coordinator). Dr. Thangakumar, Prof. & Head of CSE, also greeted the alumni who gathered for the meet and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Ceronmani Sharmila, Prof. & Head, IT.

The School of Mechanical Sciences & School of Building Sciences had a wonderful alumni meet on 18 December, 2021. Every alumnus who spent their time with their alma mater and helped make the event a success deserves the deepest appreciation. The gathering was presided over by all of HITS' dignitaries.

Dr. Vijaya Balan, Prof. & Head, MECH, gave the welcome address. Dr. R.K. Solomon, Prof. MECH, delivered a special speech addressing the gathering. Vice Chancellor Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, and Dean (Engineering & Technology) Dr. Angelina Geetha addressed the gathering and greeted all alumni to the Annual Meet 2021. Dr. M. Jaikumar, Prof. & Head, AUTO, gave the vote of thanks, and Dr. N. Prakash, Assoc. Prof. AUTO & Dept Alumni Coordinator, organised the event.

On 18 December, 2021, the School of Management and the School of Liberal Arts & Applied Sciences had a memorable and cherishing alumni meet. The gathering was presided over by all HITS dignitaries.

Dr. Badri Narayanan, HoD, SoM, gave the welcoming address. The meeting was graced by Dr S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, Dr.R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean (Engineering & Technology) who briefed on the HITS Alumni Association and greeted all alumni for the Annual Meet 2021. Dr. Pon Ramalingam, Registrar, HITS, gave the keynote address followed with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. David Easow, HoD, SLAAS.

School of Electrical Sciences

The School of Electrical Sciences (ECE, EEE, EIE) had a remarkable and cherishing alumni meet on 19 December, 2021. All of HITS' dignitaries were there to preside over the event. Mr. Kamal, President of HITSAA, extended an invitation to everyone on behalf of HITSAA.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. AK Parvathy, Prof. & Head, EEE. Dr. A. L. Vallikannu, Prof. & Head, ECE, made a special address, highlighting the institution's progress over the preceding two decades. Vice Chancellor Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, and Dean (Engineering & Technology) Dr. Angelina Geetha addressed the gathering and greeted all alumni to the Annual Meet 2021. Ms. Pragatha V S (Dy. Reg. - Alumni Coordinator) offered the vote of thanks.

Success Day

The virtual Alumni Meet also observed a grand celebration of Success Day 2021of Batch 2020 on 19 December 2021 wherein students who have been placed in various firms, chosen career in civil services, decided to pursue higher studies, or preferred to take up family business or become an entrepreneur were honoured by Certificate of Recognition. A total of 215 students were honoured during this celebration. Dr. E. Bhaskaran, HITSAA President; Additional Director, Dept. of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Tamil Nadu presided over the event as the Chief Guest and motivated the Success Day participants through his address. He expressed, “Success has different connotations according to the place and purpose. As students you’ve all been successful today and tomorrow is something which is uncertain. I want each one of you to be highly influential and helpful to others as you progress in career and life. Remember the great lesson your alma mater has taught you in your course of study and I wish you shine the brightest wherever you go”. Ms. Pragatha, HITSAA Coordinator, proposed the Vote of Thanks and extended her gratitude to all participants who made it online and others who could not due to technical glitches. Ms. Kavitha, Placement Officer, Heads of all Departments, and Faculty members participated and passed their greetings and wished to all achievers. The memorable day came to a denouement with feedback and exchange of greetings and thoughts by the stars of the Success Day.
