About the Department

The department of Mathematics under the School of Science and Humanities was established in 1985. The department integrates all the branches of Engineering by imparting the course on Engineering Mathematics in UG and PG level. The department offers M.Phil and Ph. D programme. It comprises of well-qualified and experienced faculty. The objective of the department is to train students in the innovative field of Applied Mathematics inculcating the concepts of computing, optimizing, grouping, classifying, testing and applying various tools of Mathematics in the field of Engineering andTechnology.

Conference Theme

The purpose of this conference is an earnest attempt to create the right interface for the exchange and dissemination of new ideas and techniques among the young researchers in various fields of Mathematics applied to Engineering and Technology. The programme consists of plenary, invited talks as well as contributed paper presentations on various technical aspects of different research areas. The primary goal is to provide directions for future research and development by identifying key problems and their solutions. This conference also shows a new direction among the research communities across the nation to discuss the most recent innovations, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted on the proposed conference theme. Also, it provides an opportunity for the young researchers and students to know about the recent trends and its applications in the modern society. The inspiring lectures of this conference give some novel ideas to the research society of ournation.

The Location

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science is located at Padur about 22 kms, south of Chennai, on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (Old Mahabalipuram Road). The academic atmosphere has been conducive to a calm and productive system. The Institution is well connected to the city by public transport buses. Apart from this, the institution operates its own fleet of transport for the convenience of students and staff.
