Yarona 2019

“YARONA 2019,” the Inter-Departmental Cultural Fest hosted on 28 September 2019witnessed a clash of talents competing at several individual and team competitions. To mention a few, Indian & Western group dance, solo singing, street play, Solo/Duet Dance, Clash of bands, Western music group, Rap & Beat boxing, adzap, mime, mimicry, stand-up comedy, face painting, junk art, puddle jumper, stack attack, eat the cookies, watermelon mania, lights camera action; ON with dance, Rain dance, Treasure hunt, Tug-of-war, Clash of bands, DJ war, Fashion show, group dance, channel surfing, super human, mono acting, cooking without fire, Don’t blow the kings, etc., were held concurrently at nine different venues. Around 250 student volunteers and 210 faculties were actively involved in successfully organizing the YARONA 2019. The celebration saw a huge contingent of cultural troupes numbering about 642 teams and 3168 (Boys 2043, Girls 1125) for 59 events. Dr. Ashok G. Verghese, Director, HITS felicitated and honored the valedictory function held at the Open Air Theatre in the evening. Mr. AravNafeez, Actor and Model presided over the event as Chief Guest and conferred the Overall Championship and Rolling Trophy to the Department of Aeronautical Engineeringand the Runner Up Trophy to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
