Workshop "Entrepreneurship And Innovation" As Career Opportunity
HTBI & HEIC in collaboration with the Learning Links Foundation, Chennai organized a two- day workshop on "ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION" as Career Opportunity on 16 and 17 November 2022. The main objective of theworkshop was to encourage the prominence of entrepreneurship and innovation as career opportunity and implant skillset required for a young graduate. The two-day workshop commenced with the inaugural session. Dr.K.Sakthidasan, Head i/c -HTBI & HEIC welcomed all the attendees. Dr.S.N.Sridhara, Vice Chancellor delivered the inaugural address and Dr.Angelina Geetha, Dean- E & T delivered the presidential address.
The guest speakers Dr.K.Balaji, Senior Consultant, and Mr.Subash Kannan, Lead Consultant, Learning Links Foundation took over the session. The workshop was categorised into four sessions: Session1- Introduction to a New Way of Thinking – Nxthinking; Session 2- Explore Stage; Session 3- Create Stage and Session 4 - Change Stage.
All the sessions were informative and interactive. The speakers kickstarted with a brief and clear introduction of entrepreneurship. The workshop began with quotation, “Entrepreneurship is not a career” and explained in detail how an individual can launch his/her start-up. Dr.K.Balaji boosted the confidence of all the attendees with his interactive presentation and encouraged them to believe in themselves. During the workshop students were guided on the means to ideate. For this purpose, ideation activities were conducted for the participating students in the form of group discussions.
The workshop ended with a feedback session. The event was a huge success with over 150 participants. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.S.Nanda Kumar, Coordinator- HTBI & HEIC.
