WOMEN'S EQUALITY DAY
The Women Empowerment Cell, HITS celebrated the Women's Equality Day on 26 August 2022. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr.Hina Fathima, Project Lead, MBSE, Vehicle Architecture and Engineering, Core Member for Women of Ford -Global Engineering Services, Ford Motor India, Pvt. Ltd.
Dr. Fathima interacted with the students and also shared the significance of Women’s Equality Day. She emphasised on the various opportunities for women to be successful and the ways to cope challenges with determination and grit. She also gave a brief summary about her journey of success and challenges overcome to reach the present status. Students interacted with the guest and a quiz was conducted related to Women’s Equality Day.
The event began with a prayer song by Ms.Varsha Nair, Final year BA English, and Ms.Nila , 2nd year BA English. Dr. SHERINE Joy, HOD Languages and Coordinator of the event welcomed the audience. She also introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. Kanpur Rani, AP, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering proposed the vote of thanks.
