An IET Sponsored 3-day Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Training Programme was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with the Centre for Automation and Robotics, on 9 March 2022 in a hybrid mode (both offline and online [MS]).Mr. Raghavendra Achary, Senior Project Officer, IIT Madras presided over the inaugural event as the Chief Guest. Dr. J. Thangakumar, HoD, CSE welcomed the gathering comprising a total of 67 participants. Dr. S. N. Sridhara, ViceChancellor, delivered the presidential address; and Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean E&T offered the felicitation address.
About the Training Programme:
Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented reality (AR) have become a significant technology with its applications spanning across all walks of engineering. VR and AR bridge the digital and physical world. While VR can bring you anything,AR can put answers right where your questions are; and the training programme is planned meticulously in this perspective and provides an opportunity for participants to get research insight in VR and AR and tends to provide a forum for academic/industry experts and research scholars to exchange their knowledge and views.
