The valedictory programme of 'STORYGRAM' event was organised by Athena-The Literary Club of the Department of Languages on 20 January 2022 via MS Teams. The event was intended mostly for people who wished to demonstrate the strength of their imagination by sharing stories. On 11 January 2022, members of the literary club unveiled the official poster for the event. Participants had until 17 January 2022, to register and submit their entries. Many students enthusiastically participated in the event by exhibiting their skills in giving the best stories.
Ms. Nusaibah Anas, First Year, B.A. English hosted the event congruously. Ms. Varsha Nair, Second Year, B.A. English, and President of the Athena Literary Club opened the ceremony with an invocation hymn. Dr. Akkara Sherine, Head, Languages and Rankings, welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. P. Duvaraganathan, Principal, Vivekananda Vidyalaya CBSE School, Ramanathapuram. In her address, she emphasised the importance of developing storytelling skills which is always the way one expresses his or her story that matters the most. She also highlighted how one should only tell his/her story rather than selling himself/herself for the same.
In his keynote address, Dr. P. Duvaraganathan reminded the audience that they are the authors of their own stories, and that it is not just innovation that matters, but also how we communicate our ideas to others. He also advocated daydreaming, as it is a creative medium; and emphasised the need to read stories to improve vocabulary. The winners were declared by Dr. Sonu Joseph, Assistant Professor, Department of Languages and the Faculty Coordinator of Athena Literary Club.

The winners narrated their stories, enthralling the audience. Dr. P. Duvaraganathan reviewed the stories and gave his feedback. He appreciated the structure and characters of the stories of the winners. He also highlighted the importance of introspection in order to uncover one's own story from within. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sarah Sam Mathew, Second Year, B.Sc. Food Technology and Vice President of the Athena Literary Club.
