BAJA SAE, an international intercollegiate competition powered by the society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) encourages engineering students to design, build and race off-road vehicles that can withstand rugged terrains.The 13th season of BAJASAEINDIA 2020 was organized at NATRAX facility, Pithampur near Indore between 22 and 26 January 2020. A whopping bulk of 282 teams accounting from IITs, NITs, RECs, and private engineering institutions registered; of which, 253 teams were qualified to manufacture their proposed design. However, only 53 E- BAJA teams could make it to the main event and we were privileged to be one of the 21 teams who cleared the technical and electrical inspection.
The Stalwartz E Racing team cleared several rounds such as Cost Evaluation,Sales Presentation, Technical Inspection and Electrical Inspection and Brake Trial Test wherejudges aroused questionson driver ergonomics and othertechnical factors.Stalwartz E Racing scored a 92 on 100 in the Cost Report presentation: so far the highest amongst other E Vehicles and received a prize money of Rs.40000/- and the “Cost Report Award”—the first podium moment for the team that has raised hopes for further victorious endeavours.
