The sports scholarship selection trials for the year 2023-2024 and they will be accommodated for the forth coming academic year 2024-2025 under Sports quota which took place at Hindustan University in Padur, Chennai, spanning from 5th to 7th, April 2024.
This comprehensive event covered a diverse array of sporting disciplines, including athletics, archery, basketball, badminton, boxing, chess, cricket, horse riding, sailing, kickboxing, swimming, football, table tennis, Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, Netball, canoeing, kayaking, and rowing. Eligible candidates who demonstrated exceptional skill and performance were granted sports scholarships by Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), empowering them to pursue their academic and athletic aspirations simultaneously for the year 2024-2025.

The total score allotted for assessment was 100 marks, with a minimum of 30 marksrequired to pass or become eligible for the sports scholarship. Based on the cumulative score,selected candidates were categorized into four tiers (I, II, III, and IV), with each categoryreflecting the level of achievement and potential demonstrated during the selection process.
