ISRO, Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta and School of Aeronautical Sciences, HITS; and Hindustan Innovation Factory, HITS; in association with Aeronautical Society of India Chennai Branch marked the centenary celebration of ISRO Founder and Space Father of India, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai on 12 and 13 February 2020. The celebration comprised of space themed stalls by B. Tech. Aerospace students of HITS and a mobile ISRO exhibition consisting Rocket Models, Satellite Models, Launch Pads and Space Exploration details of ISRO. The stalls exhibits consisted of Debris Management, Space 3D Printing, Lunar Details, Mars Details, Astro Suits, Space Food, VR Kits for Experiencing Space & Star Gazing, Space Themed Tattoos, Planetarium, Rocket Landing Simulation, Fun Activities and Sports Games. The carnival also showcased students dressed as Aliens and Astronauts. A sum of 717 school students from Chennai City and over 800 in-house students and faculties visited the exhibits.
