The NCC Annual Training Camp was held for ten days at the Bay Range Campus between 5-14 July 2023. The camp was organized by the HITS NCC Army Wing. The training camp witnessed active participation of Cadets from various colleges and schools, with a total of 516 participants, including 1 Army officer, 6 Army personnel, 10 Associate NCC Officers, and 500 NCC cadets. The primary objective of the training camp was to provide a comprehensive training and development to the participating NCC cadets. The focus was on physical fitness, discipline, military training, personality development, cultural activities, sports activities, and various other skills to shape them into responsible and competent individuals.
Cadets from different schools and colleges reported at the camp site and were introduced to all the PI staff, ANO’s, seniors and batch mates from other institutions and juniors from different schools. The inaugural address was delivered by Colonel Jobee Philip, Camp Commandant. A guest lecture on public speaking was delivered by Commodore Atul Kumar Rastogi followed by an interactive session with DDG and Students. In addition to this, the general instructions on Service Selection Board (SSB) and Mock SSB interview were conducted by DDG for the SD&SW from different institution.
The closing address was delivered by the Camp Commandant. This was followed by cultural events. Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor distributed the prizes to the winners of the various competitions
