An MoU between Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) and QMAX Test Equipments Pvt. Ltd., Chennai was signed by Dr. Ashok G. Verghese, Director, HITS; and Mr. S. R. Sabapathi, President & CEO, QMAX on 11 April 2022. Mr. Vijayakumar, Vice-President, QMAX; Dean (E&T), Dean (Research), Heads of EEE, AERO, Mechatronics, HITS participated in the event.
Dr. AL. Vallikannu, Professor and Head, Department of ECE welcomed the gathering and briefed the vision of the MoU which fosters to have a strong industry institute collaboration, internship and placement opportunities, and establish an Innovation Lab, and Centre of Excellence in Electronics Test Engineering. Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. R. W. Alexander Jesudasan delivered the opening remarks for the MoU and stated that students pursuing M. Tech. Defense Technology will greatly be profited through internship and industry supported projects. During the meeting, Mr. S. R. Sabapathi explained about the products that are developed for defense purpose and invited HITS to collaborate and involve in research activities in Robotics, Avionics, and Image Processing related to testing.
