Guest Lecture On Off Road Vehicles/Equipment

In a guest lecture on “Off Road Vehicles/Equipment” primarily organized for final and pre-final B. Tech. Automobile Engineering students, Mr. J. Ravikumar, Sales Head for North Tamil Nadu, Kobelco Excavators deliberated on different off-road vehicles and their operations with the help of videos.

•Heavy equipment functions through the mechanical advantage of a simple machine.
•Internal-combustion engines become the major power source of heavy equipment.
•Different Operations involved in Construction include excavation, digging of large quantities of earth, moving them to distance which are sometimes fairly long, placement, compacting, levelling, dozing, grading, hauling.
The session concluded highlighting the scope and opportunities in off-road vehicles/equipment industries and distribution of handouts to students prepared by the speaker.
