The Department of Mechanical Engineering, organized a Guest Lecture on “Digital Manufacturing” on 15th July 2022. The guest of honour of the event was Mr. Rabindra Sah, Chief Engineer,Strategic Projects, Tata Technologies, Bangalore who is also an expert in implementation of digitalized manufacturing units for automobile industries. He is having more than 30 years of experience in TATA industries, especially in the field of digital manufacturing. The guest lecture covered the importance of digital manufacturing system, PLM and different types of software used in digital manufacturing systems. Mr.Rabindra Sah also explained in detail about benefits of digital manufacturing systems in automobile industries with practical examples and video clips. The session was attended by more than 100 students from various branches like Mechanical, Automobile and Mechatronics Engineering etc.
