The Students of HITS received the One in Tech Global Scholarship worth $10,000 from the ISACA foundation (Information Systems Audit and Control Association), in partnership with NTT Data Services. 20 students were awarded the Global scholarship for the payment of their tuition fee for the upcoming year. The eligibility criteria of this scholarship are that the receiver must be an enrolled student of HITS pursuing their degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and also should have an urge to start their career in cyber space.
HITS is an academic partner of ISACA, USA and also the only Institution in India to receive this scholarship. The students will receive this scholarship every year for infusing the talents into the cyber work force. Scholarship awardees will explore more opportunities to apply for an internship employment at NTT Data Services. The funds may be used for Full time enrolment, Part time enrolment, Credit courses, Purchase of books, and also any school supplies and technologies
In continuation with this regard, HITS organized a Global Scholarship Award Ceremony on 23rd February 2023 for distributing the scholarships to all the recipients. Dr. Mahesh Kalyanaranan, President, ISACA Chennai Chapter and Associate Vice President at HCL Technologies was the Chief Guest and Mr. Vaidyanathan, Vice President ISCA Chennai Chapter was the Guest of Honor during the Scholarship award Ceremony. During the Award Ceremony, Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Pon Ramalingam, Registrar, Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean (E&T) and Dr. Thangakumar J, HOD (CSE) were present.
