The Freshers’ Induction Programme 2025 for SLiCA, SBAS, SOM, and SAHS was conducted on 11 August 2025 at the MGR Auditorium, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the incoming batch. Designed as a welcome, orientation, and investiture ceremony, the event aimed to introduce students to the institution’s values, culture, and opportunities while fostering a sense of belonging.
The programme was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Kannan, IRS (Retd.), Principal Commissioner of GST, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Vikas P.V, Joint Managing Director of KVM Exports Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, as the Guest of Honour. Senior leadership of the institution, including the Executive Director, Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, and Heads of Departments, were also present.
Organized by the Student Council in collaboration with faculty and the Office of Student Affairs, the event combined formal addresses, interactive sessions, and ceremonial segments to engage and inspire the freshers.
The programme commenced with the rendition of Tamil ThaaiVazhthu, followed by the Hindustan Anthem, setting a respectful and patriotic tone. The dignitaries were then invited to the dais, and the formal proceedings began with a welcome address by the Dean of Academics, who introduced students to the academic environment and institutional expectations.
The Vice Chancellor delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to actively engage in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. This was followed by remarks from the Executive Director and the Dean of the School of Management, who highlighted institutional achievements, growth, and the importance of leadership and professional development.
The Guest of Honour and Chief Guest delivered motivational speeches, sharing valuable life lessons, personal experiences, and guidance on overcoming challenges and striving for excellence. Their addresses served as a major highlight of the event, leaving a lasting impression on the students.
A special segment of the programme included the Scholarship Letter Distribution Ceremony, where meritorious students were recognized and rewarded for their academic achievements.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Dean of Student Affairs, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, faculty members, and students. The programme ended with the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and united.
