The School of Computing Sciences and Machine Intelligence Data Analytics and Research Center (MIDARC) organized the Phase I of a two-week Online Faculty Development Programme on “Artificial Intelligence and Ambient Intelligence” between 25 Jan. and 6 Feb. 2021 under the aegis of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Mr. Sunil David, Regional Director – IOT, India and ASEAN Region) AT&T presided as the Chief Guest for the inauguration.
The FDP was organized envisaging the technological growth and demand for knowledge in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Ambient Intelligence. Ambient Intelligence is a promising technology that binds Artificial intelligence to our everyday environment through sensors and Internet of Things. Participants from various Indian states and overseas such as England, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were trained on the various areas of Artificial Intelligence and Ambient intelligence. The theory and hands-on sessions were conducted by eminent speakers from academic institutions like IIITs, NITs NITTTR, Yildiz Teknik University, Istanbul; Multimedia University, Malaysia; and Industrial experts from AT&T, OpenAVN, CISCO Systems, Infosys, Wipro, Madblocks Technologies, Hyderabad and Cognub Decision Solutions. The Phase II of this event is scheduled between 15 and 25 Feb. 2021.
