“CENTAURUS-2019” an intra-group Space Competition jointly organized by Hindustan Innovation Factory, Rocketeers Club, School of Aeronautical Sciences & SAE - HITS Aero Club in association with Aeronautical Society of India – Chennai Branch was conducted on 20 and 21 September 2019. The 2-day space competition had events namely, 3D Static Model, Poster Presentation, and Rocket Workshop and Competition. Mr. NellaiS.Muthu, Former ISRO Scientist and National Science Popularization Awardee presided over the inaugural function and gave a lecture to students on Chandrayaan2 and his ideology of how human can live in Moon & Mars. He motivated students to explore the planets and work in the area of Astrophysics and planetary exploration.
