Success is a measure of an individual’s achievement. Hindustan recognizes this aspect through its students’ multifold attributes; and takes pride in celebrating the Success Stories of its students who gets placed in firms, chooses career in defense services, opts for higher studies, prefers family business or turns out to be an entrepreneur. In honour of these achievers, the SUCCESS DAY is dedicated.
The Success Day ’22 of Batch 2022 was celebrated on 6 May 2022. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr A. Sivathanu Pillai, Honorary Professor – Emeritus, HITS who has been conferred with honorariums such as Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Order of Friendship and is widely known as the CEO of Brahmos. Alongside the chief guest, the event was presided over by Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, HITS; Dr. Pon Ramalingam, Registrar, HITS; and Mrs. Kavitha Vijayaraghavan, Head Placements & Training, HITS.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Pon Ramalingam. He congratulated all the students for their commendable achievement and conveyed his best wishes to the soon-to-be graduates. Dr. S. N. Sridhara in his presidential address motivated the students to nurture their talents and abilities which alone will assure them success. He also encouraged the students to face hardships head-on as it will make them stronger in a long run.
Dr. A Sivathanu Pillai began his keynote address by congratulating the students and wishing them for their future endeavors. Dr. Pillai shared the DNA for success which comprises Innovation, Leadership and Excellence. Highlighting the prosperity dynamics of India, Dr. Pillai professed that India’s development will skyrocket if the skillset of 750 million youth of India is engaged and channelized in the right direction. He also spoke about the fast pace development of India across various sectors, especially in Aerospace and Artillery (missiles) and how in the coming years India’s position in the world will be second to none. Dr. Pillai also emphasized that there are a lot of opportunities in various sectors and encouraged the students to hone and polish their skills. Towards the end of his speech, Dr. Pillai inspired and encouraged the students to think differently and find ways through which they can uplift the country.
All the students took an oath to create a better society and lead by example, thus making their alma mater proud. The oath was followed by the distribution of “Certificates of Recognition” to students who were placed in reputed companies during the campus recruitment. Students also gave their testimonials where they expressed their gratitude towards the university and their faculty members for providing immense support throughout their academic years.
The event was concluded by a vote of thanks by the Head-Placement & Training, Mrs. Kavitha Vijayaraghavan.
