HITS participated in the 75th NAFSA Annual Conference at the Walter E. Washington, DC, Convention Center, USA. The Conference witnessed over 3000 professionals, nationwide and globally, who got an exclusive opportunity to connect one-on-one with international education leaders and changemakers at the comprehensive global event. This program aims to improve academic ties between Indian and international academics and to provide opportunities to connect with peers and experts who are dedicated to "Inspiring an Inclusive Future."
Dr. N. Manoharan, Director (International Affairs), Dr. M. Jaikumar, Professor & Head (Automobile Engineering) represented HITS and participated in the following:
- Dr. Akhlesh Lakhtakia, Jefferson Science Fellow, India Desk, Bureau of South & Central Asian Affairs, U.S. Department of State. Professor in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics, University Park visited HITS and discussed on the new modalities for US – India Collaborations in Higher Education.
- Ms. Yumi Takahashi, Western Michigan University, had a discussion with Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chancellor in the presence of Mr. Enid Verghese Jacob, Dy. Director, and Dr. N. Manoharan, Director, IA, HITS. The discussion focussed on future collaborations between HITS and WMU.
- Mr. Francisco Donoso Garcia, Spanish, Erasmus Co-operations, TUAS, was greeted by team HITS when we paid a courtesy visit to the desk of Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Dr. Yng Zeng, Director of Asian Initiatives, Light Center for Chinese Studies, and Soga Japan Center visited and discussed the signing of the MoU on June 1, 2023, at 4:00 PM in the India Pavilion.
- Mr. Mubeen Saleem, Director of Strategy, UNIVISER, visited HITS Center to collaborate on the peer-to-peer advisory platform that connects prospects, students, and alumni. He gave an appointment to Mr. Salim to discuss the same on June 1, 2023.
