General Instructions to All the Graduands
· The 16th Convocation will be held on 20th & 27th September 2025 in MGR Auditorium.
· All Graduands are requested to register through the 16th Convocation registration link on or before 13th September 2025. Spot registration is not allowed.
· Maximum 2 persons (preferably parents) can accompany the Graduands.
· Parents will be seated in the Good Shepherd Hall, KS Moorthy Hall, Football ground.
· All Graduands attending the Convocation should come in formal with shoes.
· On the day of event, the Graduands are asked to collect the robes, food tokens, mementos from the registration counter kept in the HITS Main Block classrooms.
· The Graduands should assemble in front of Founder’s Block at 9.30 am after receiving the Robes for the Graduands Procession.
· Graduands should maintain silence throughout the Convocation ceremony.
· Mobile Phones are to be switched off before entering the Convocation venue.
· Graduands are requested to stand up when the academic procession enters the venue and remain standing until the members of the procession have taken their seats.
· Graduands have to remain in the MGR Auditorium during the entire proceedings. No one is allowed to leave the premises before the end of the proceedings.
· Oath for the Graduands is a very significant part of the graduation event and hence all have to take the oath. Graduands should stand up to take the oath.
· Keep the tussle of the cap to the right side.
· After receiving the degree, change the direction of the tussle of the cap from right to left.
· Please remain standing while the Tamil Thai Vazhthu and National Anthem are sung and when the academic procession leaves the Auditorium.
· The program will be live telecasted for the benefit of parents, well-wishers and the public.
· Photography is BANNED inside the auditorium during the Convocation. Official photographers will take the photos and the same will be uploaded on the website.
· Photo Booths will be arranged on the campus (OAT)
· Convocation Gowns can be collected at the registration desk on 20.09.2025 & 27.09.2025 by depositing Rs.600/-, of which Rs.500/- will be refunded while returning the gowns after the Convocation.
I) Instruction to the Ph.D awardees (20.09.2025)
· All the Ph.D. awardees are requested to register through the link provided below for the 16th Convocation:

· Kindly complete the registration on or before 13.09.2025. Kindly contact the Coordinator Dr.Vallikannu (9789668280) for any clarifications.
· The Ph.D. awardees are requested to be present in the MGR Auditorium at
10.30 am on 20.09.2025 as per the seating arrangements. Ph.D awardees who come late after 10:30 a.m. will not be permitted to enter the MGR Auditorium on any account.
· When a Ph.D. awardee is called, he/she should proceed to the dais from the left, should bow to the Chancellor and the Chief Guest, receive the certificate, and leave on the right side. Kindly avoid Handshaking.
II) Instruction to the Rank holders (20.09.2025)
· All the Rank holders are requested to register through the link provided below for the 16th Convocation:

· Kindly complete the registration on or before 13.09.2025. Kindly contact the Coordinator Dr.Vijayabalan (9025748019) for any clarifications.
· The Rank holders are requested to be present in the MGR Auditorium at 10.30 a.m. as per the seating arrangements. Rank holders who come late after 10.30 a.m. will not be permitted to enter the MGR Auditorium on any account.
· When a Rank Holder is called, he/she should proceed to the dais from the left, should bow to the Chancellor and the Chief Guest, receive the certificate and leave on the right side.
III) Instruction to the Day I (20.09.2025) Graduands
· The Graduands from M.Tech (All programmes) / B.Tech (All Programmes) / B.Arch/ B.Des(CD)/ID/FAD /M.Plan/M.Arch/M.Sc User design are requested to register through the link provided below for the 16th Convocation:
