About the department
Biotechnology is a highly interdisciplinary program encompassing biological sciences and technology to meet the industry and research. The scope and application of the course is manifold in the fields of therapeutics, drug discovery, biopharmaceutics, food processing, marine ecosystem and to find remediations for the environment hazards. The scientific discovery spans from biologics, gene therapy, stem cell therapy for several diseases and environmental solutions like bioenergy, biofouling, bioremediation, and cleantech providing opportunities for Biotechnology graduates in industry and research institutes as an engineer and scientist.
