About the program

The program provides students with a broad base of understanding about the semiconductor industry, enabling lucrative opportunities in future endeavors. 

Objectives:  

  • Acquire insights in complete Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESD&M) 
  • Empower students with hands on experience in semiconductor characterization, MEMS and Nano technology
  • Hands on experience in advanced testing for reliability and effectiveness of the system

M.Tech. with specialization in Microelectronics and VLSI Design is an experiential learning programme designed to provide electronic engineers with highly specialized knowledge and experience to design, fabricate and test devices, circuits and systems at 'micro and nano scale'.

Eligibility

Graduates holding BE/ B.Tech. in ECE / EEE / EIE / Nano Technology / Mechatronics / M.Sc. or equivalent in Electronics, with at least 50% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.

  • The programme offers a set of courses that allows students to gain expertise in areas that include back-end and front-end microelectronics such as Processors and SoC design, Chip Design, VLSI CAD Tool Development, VLSI Device & Modelling, Microelectronic Technology & IC Fabrication, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning and Deep Learning for VLSI.
  • State-of-the-art facilities are in place to impart latest technology using hardware and software tools for designing and testing of ESD such as Multicore STM32, Viv ado, Xilinx FPGA.
  • Innovative pedagogy with a blend of classroom and experimental learning such as case studies and work integrated activities such as internships and industry projects.
