Value Added Programme On Architectural Acoustics
A 5-day Value Added Programme and Training Workshop on “Architectural Acoustics” conducted by SPADE in association with Ecophon–Saint Gobain for students (7th and 9th semester B. Arch, and 5th semester B. Des.) and faculty of SPADE commenced on 23 Nov. 2020.
The Trainer, Mr. Manit Ramaiya, Concept Developer, Ecophon–Saint Gobain lectured on all major topics of Acoustics, and detailed the various basic information about the Architectural Acoustics. The Resource Person, Dr. Kandaswamy Subramanian, a veteran Acoustical Consultant and Structural Consultant briefed on the nuances of Acoustics and the considerations to be taken from the early design stage. He also allowed the students to sneak peek into one of his researches on the old Kutahmbalam and the temple acoustics. The event aimed to get the students learn the essential ins and outs of Architectural Acoustics so as to get familiarised with the simple acoustical considerations and the technicalities while designing Architectural projects.
