Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) is awarded as the 480th World’s Most Sustainable University and 17th among Indian Universities in 2021 UI Greenmetric World University Rankings on 14 December 2021. A total of 956 universities from 80 countries participated.
UI Greenmetric World University Rankings is the first university rankings in the world that measure each participating University's commitment in developing environmentally friendly university. The rankings look at 6 indicators of each university (Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Water, Transportation, and Education). HITS congratulates Dr. Sheeba Chander, Dean SPADE; Faculty members, SPADE; Dr. A. Sherine Joy, Head Languages and Rankings and her Team for winning this laurel for the institution.
