TUM Asia Delegates Visit on HITS Campus
TUM Asia is an institute for research and education situated in Singapore, as the Asian campus of the Technical University of Munich. TUM Asia offers five full-time MSc program viz. Aerospace Engineering, Rail, Transport and Logistics, Industrial Chemistry, Integrated Circuit Design, and Green Electronics.
Dr. Markus Wachter, Managing Director, and Ms. Peifen Chia, Assistant Manager (Managing & Communication) Technical University Munich (TUM Asia), Singapore, visited HITS on 15 February 2023. The guests had an interactive discussion with the University Officials. The meeting was chaired by Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor and the following officials participated in the discussion: Dr. Manohar, Director, Project; Dr. Ilavazhagan, Advisor – International Affairs; Ms. Sukhee Lee, Advisor – International Affairs; Dr. Rajeev P. V. Senior Manager, International Affairs; Dr. R. Santhanakrishnan, Professor, and Dr. S. Charulatha, Associate Professor, Department of Aeronautical; and Dr. Nageswara Rao, Officer – International Affairs. The forum discussed the possibility for student exchange program, especially for the students pursuing aerospace engineering.
Following the meeting, the delegates addressed the students of the Department of Aeronautical. Dr. Markus Wachter spoke on "Future Industry Trends" and also interacted with students. They also visited the infrastructure and lab facilities available at the Department of Aeronautical.
