Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science participated in the global Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2021 and an achieved overall rank of 601-800. The 2021 Impact Rankings is the third edition, and the overall ranking includes 1,115 universities from 94 countries/regions. Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess the universities based on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It provides a unique opportunity for universities to showcase their activities that contribute towards building a more sustainable and equitable society. A total of 1115 institutions from 94 countries and regions across the globe were in the fray for the reputed global rankings. HITS emerged as one of the top Private Universities in India in THE Rankings and is one of the few private universities to have qualified in this rigorous international evaluation platform. The institution participated in four Sustainable Development Goals based on its forte and has done exceedingly well in SDG6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG17, (Partnership for Goals).
