Team HELIX participated in CANSAT-2021 competition organised by American Astronautical Society (AAS) in collaboration with NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre in an online mode on 18 June 2021. A total of 42 teams from all over the world got selected for the finals out of which, Team HELIX secured 16th rank globally and 5th position in India. The objective of Team HELIX was to make a CANSAT which deploys two bio mimicked payloads, in the shape of a maple seed. The payloads carry electronics of its own and relays data to the ground station. Several tests including Drop test, Thermal test, Fit Check, Vibration test, Vacuum test were performed. The mission profile was simulated by inputting various pressure values into the cansat using the ground station software. The data from cansat were published live to the judges using mqtt.
