The vibrant and prestigious "Teacher's Day '23" was held on 7 September 2023 at the MGR Auditorium. The event was jointly organized by Dr. K S Shaji, Dean, Student Affairs, Mrs. Beena James Head - of Student Affairs, Mr. Royson, Cultural Co-Ordinator and Office of Student Affairs, and Mr. C Santhosh, Music instructor were key individuals in organizing the program.
The event commenced with Opening Prayer by Rev. Justin Jose, Student Chaplain by Tamil Thai Vazhthu.
The event then proceeded to the Welcome Address delivered by the most respected Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan. This was followed by the unraveling of the movie trailer "Konjam Pesinall Yenna" by the Team behind the movie. The audience were captivated by the trailer. They were enthralled by an amazing musical concert performed by the special Team Konjam Pesinall Yenna for everyone present. The concert was vibrant and pulsating with energy, making the audience thrilled with excitement.
After which the most important part of the celebration took place. As a token of gratitude and appreciation HITS took the golden opportunity to acknowledge the hard work, dedication and passion of School teachers in the City of Chennai. Each Teacher was presented a beautiful citation which is an official report mentioning their praiseworthy contribution in the field of education, a beautiful memento, and a generous cash price of Rs. 10,000. The event then came to an end followed by a few more songs played by the Team Konjam Pesinall Yenna and the audience dispersing after.
