The Office of Student Affairs of HITS organised Teachers Day '21 celebrations on 6 September 2021 to remember the contributions of teachers and pay their gratitude. Dr. Srinivasan Sundarrajan, Missile Man; and the former Director of NIT-T was the Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor Dr. S. N. Sridhara; Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan; Deans, HoDs, members of faculty and students graced the occasion. Ms. Jane Carolyn, Final year, B.Tech., Cyber Security was the Master of Ceremony.
In his address, Dr. Sundarrajan acclaimed teachers as the most inspiring people. He recalled the contributions of the philosopher, former President of India and one of the greatest contributions of all time, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. Earlier that day, musical chair and connection games were conducted for the teachers. Participants felt them as an opportunity to de-stress themselves from continuous works. A cake cutting ceremony, presentation of promotional orders to the faculty members and songs dedicated to staff members were organised as a part of celebrations.
