Sports Achievements In July And August 2019

Mr. Adhithya Sharma of I year Mechatronics won Gold Medal in 60 Kms Cycling organized by Just Bicycle on 25 August 2019.

M. Washington Sundar of III year BBA represented Indian Cricket team in all three T20 Series against West Indies in August 2019.

T. Dharshini of III year BBA and K.B. Harshitha of I year B.Sc. (PED) got selected for Senior Indian Basketball Team Camp at Kandeerava Stadium, Bengaluru from 26 July to 26 August 2019. The team is awaiting to participate in Asian Championship in December 2019.

R. Anbarasi of II M. Tech and S. Rajeshari of I MBA (Sports Management) represented Tamil Nadu in Basketball 3X3 in the National Championship held at Bengaluru from 20 to 23 August, 2019. The team lost in the quarter finals against Kerala.

Basketball Men & Women team took part in the 22nd Sree Raghavendra All India Level Basketball Tournament organized by Sree Raghavendra Club at T. Nagar from 1 to 5 July 2019. The team also participated in the 9th Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank Trophy All India Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament organized by Tuticorin Basketball Association from 16 to 20 July 2019. In both tournaments, Women’s team won the Runner Up Trophy, whilst Men’s team lost in the Quarter Finals.

In the Founders Trophy All India Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament organized by SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai from 20 to 24 August 2019, women’s and men’s team bagged the Winners and Runners Trophy respectively.

Football Men team took part in the Founders Trophy All India Inter Collegiate Football Tournament organized by SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai from 20 to 24 August 2019 and lost in the Quarter Finals.

10 students took part in the TNPL (Tamil Nadu Premier League) Cricket Championship organized by TNCA (Tamil Nadu Cricket Association) from 25 July to 12 August 2019.
