Southern Railway Of Salem Division Funds Dosth Project
The Southern Railway of Salem Division has sanctioned Rs. 1 lakh & 10 thousand towards the project titled “Design, Development and Maintenance of Mobile Application for Operating Department’s Staffs” investigated by Ms. Sherin Eliyas, Asst. Prof., MCA and Dr. P. Ranjana, Professor, CSE. The project has developed a Mobile App named DOSTH which will be useful to the Railway employees to receive personalised, relevant and time-sensitive information from their organization. Mobile device can be used easily by accessing this app through push notifications. DOSTH makes the communication between various levels of employees smooth and enables the decision makers to have control of the operations. Also, it keeps the employee informed about the Salem Railway Division functions and thus enables them to do better job. DOSTH development process is complete, and delivered to Southern Railway, Salem for user acceptance testing; post which it will soon be deployed.
