The alumni of Class 1998 celebrated their silver jubilee reunion at the Bay Range Campus on 12 August 2023. They relived their college days and remembered their time together on campus. Mr. Ashok Verghese, Pro Chancellor addressed the gathering and pointed out to them as the golden alumni for they have lived and fulfilled the dreams of the Founder Chairman Dr. K.C. G. Verghese. He urged them to be connected with the alumni across the globe as the Alumni Association has established its chapters across continents covering most of the countries.
Dr. S.N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor of HITS delivered the welcome speech. He emphasized that the alumni should contribute to the development of their alma mater. The faculty of yesteryears also addressed their students. Dr. Ravikumar Solomon, Prof. Beena James, Head- OSA, Dr. Jessy Rooby, Ex Prof., Erstwhile faculty, Prof. Meikandan, Prof. Manjula Pramod, Dr. Sujatha, Dr. Jeyapoovan, Prof. A. Chandrashekar, Prof. Babu John, Prof. Caleb, Prof. Vijay Sekhar, Prof. Ramamoorthy, Prof. Sujatha K, expressed their excitement in meeting their students after many years.
As a kickstart to their contribution towards the alma mater, the alumni of class 1998 announced the educational scholarship of Rs. 25000/- for two students:Sai Santhosh from IT final year & Akila A S from ECE 2nd year.
Ms. Lasya, daughter of Mr. Lokesh rendered an amazing Bharatanatyam dance performance. Ms. Nithya, alumnus from USA, delivered the vote of thanks.This was followed by a Group photograph and lunch.
