The 74th Republic Day Celebrations was held on 26 January 2023 at the Bay Range Campus. The chief guest for the celebration was Group Captain K. V. M. Sanjay, Chief Engineering Officer, Air Force Station, Tambaram who, in his Republic Day address, urged the students to join the armed forces and serve the nation. He also listed out the opportunities available in armed forces for engineering students and graduates.
The national flag was hoisted jointly by Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor and Group Captain K. V. M. Sanjay. Awards were presented to the NCC cadets and faculty members for their excellence is academics, research and outreach activities. The cadets of Army, Navy and Air Force presented the Parade, Drill and Cultural Show.
