Seollal (Lunar New Year) Event - "Yutnori" Game
King Sejong Institute Chennai2 - HITS organized the Seollal (Korean Lunar New year) event on 24 January 2023. The event was marked by students playing the “YUTNORI” game as part of their Korean course and also wearing the “Hanbok” (the Korean traditional wear). Ms. Sukhee Lee, Head, King Sejong HITS and Assistant Professor of Korean language, explained the customs of the Korean New Year's Day. She helped the students to practice the “Saebe”, the traditional bow for elders. Ms. Hyejin Song, Korean language teacher of KSI Chennai2 –HITS, explained the rules of the ‘YUTNORI’ game. About 50 students participated in the celebration. The event concluded with Korean refreshments.
