The Office of Student Affairs in association with the School of Law organized a Sensitisation Workshop on “Prevention of sexual harassment of woman at workplace” on 5 December 2022. The resource person for the workshop was Adv.Bader Sayeed, Advocate, Madras High Court. She enlightened the audience on the importance of prevention of sexual harassment of women at workplace. The main outcomes of the programs include protection of woman in the society,awareness on various law which are applicable to sexual harassment at work place, discussion on Landmark Judgments on Sexual Harassment etc. The guest interacted with faculty and students and cleared their doubts with real life casestudies.
Dr.AkkaraSherine, Professor, Department of Languages, delivered the welcome address and Dr.R.W Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice Chancellor delivered the presidential address.The Chief Guest for the event was introduced to the audience by Dr.GeniPhilipose, Assistant Professor, SOL. Ms.Beena James, Head Student Affairs (i/c) proposed the vote of thanks. The event ended with the national anthem.
