Republic Day Celebration

The 70 th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervor in all its solemnity, grandeur and respect on 26 January 2019. The NCC Cadets performed a brilliant march-past and reported to the dais followed by hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. K P Isaac, Vice Chancellor, HITS. All the Deans, HoDs, staff and students of HITS gave a salute to the national flag with pride and took a pledge to uphold honor, integrity, diversity and the uniqueness of our country. The chief guest at the event Wg. Cdr. M. Pargunan Commanding Officer of 1(TN) AIR SQN NCC, and a renowned pilot of AN32 Aircraft and Microlite delivered a riveting speech and felicitated the students and staff members for their remarkable achievements in the year 2018. Dr.Pon Ramalingam, Registrar; Brig Dr. Ravi Varman, Dean-Admin; and ANO Fg Offr Giri R shared the dais with the guest. With NCC cadets' cultural performance, the gathering was wrapped up with the distribution of sweets among the attendees with the waving of national flag in the wind from the pole. Jai Hind!!!
