QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). It is the only international ranking to have received International Ranking Expert Group (IREG) approval. QS World University Rankings is viewed as one of the three most-widely read university rankings in the world, along with Academic Ranking of World Universities and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
QS BRICS World University Rankings rated Hindustan Institute of Technology in the 301-350 band in the World University Rankings 2019. Around 400 universities in 5 countries participated in the QS BRICS University Rankings 2019. HITS is now one of the premier Institutions to receive this honour along with 66 other Universities in India. The QS BRICS Ranking certificate was issued by Dr Rajiv Kumar, Vice chairman, NITI Aayog at Delhi on 15 September 2018. Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science has got yet another credential signifying its growth in the academic circle with this ranking.
QS STARS
QS Stars, Rated for Excellence offers universities an auditing service providing an in-depth information after analysing the institutional strengths and weaknesses. The QS Stars service is unique from QS World University Rankings as it involves a detailed look at a range of functions which mark out a truly global university. The QS Stars audit process evaluates universities and derives rating from eight out of twelve categories of which four are mandatory and other four are opted by institutions. Categories include, Teaching, Employability, Research, Internationalization, Facilities, Online/Distance Learning, Arts & Culture, Innovation, Inclusiveness, Social Responsibility, Subject Ranking, and Programme Strength. QS Stars, Rated for Excellence awards a maximum of Five Star Plus rating and a minimum of Zero rating is awarded after due analysis.
