PADMOSTAV – 2018, the 34th Inter University south zone youth festival was inaugurated at SRI PADMAVATI MAHILA VISVAVIDYALAYAM (SPMVV) with great pomp and gaiety on 7th October 2018. It was a 5 days fest conducted from 7th -11th October 2018. The students arrived at Tirupati on October 6th where the host college provided the necessary requirements like food and accommodation.
A 5 day fest, PADMOSTAV – 2018, the 34 th Inter University south zone youth festival has been conducted at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati from 7 th October to 11 th October 2018. The inaugural ceremony, preceded by the rally, pointed out the guidelines and rules for the participants across the nation. Apart from folk dance, western solo & group, the events also included literary events like debate, skit, mime, fine arts events like collage, spot painting and so on. While classical dance and folk dance seized high the cultural heritage, fine arts events showcased the young mind’s creativity. The western musical groups made the audience to stay on their feet whereas folk orchestra groups made long lasting impressions. Other events like poster making, one act plays presented the impersonation skills and the performances in mime and skit taught the art of acting on stage. The end of day 4 witnessed thunderous applause and loud cheer as folk dance jolted the stage. The student participants from HITS received 36 certificates and medals for their active participation in most of the events. The valedictory on 11 th October ended with the Chief Guest Padmashri.
