Observance Of 71St Republic Day

The 71st Republic Day was celebrated in tradition with pomp and show in a colourful ceremony in the campus on 26 January 2020. The celebrations commenced with ‘Tamil Thai Vazhthu’ followed by drill performance by NCC Cadets and unfurling of the National Flag by the Vice Chancellor. The Chief Guest, Colonel Swaraj Bhattacharya, Head of Training Team, OTA, Chennai, delivered a message, highlighting the importance of patriotism & nationalism and commitment of the youth to the Constitution of India. Thereafter, awards were given to achievers in various fields (Patents, Publication of Research papers, Doctorates, Attendance and to Outstanding NCC Cadets). The celebrations concluded with an admirable cultural performance and mime by NCC Cadets.
