The Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Information Technology jointly organized a two-day National Conference on Computational Intelligence and Data Analytics on 30 and 31 March 2023.
The inauguration of the CIDA 2023 held on 30 March 2023. Mr. R. Muthu Krishnan Ravindiran, Vice President, Rapid Cube Digital Solutions was the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Mr. Ravindiran, highlighted the transformation in Business Intelligence and Analytics eco-systems by bringing in effective automation and cloudifying them. Dr. Lalitha Krishnamoorthy, Co-Founder and CEO, Open Teams Global was the Guest of Honor. Her special address pointed out the interesting facts on the applications of Artificial intelligence right from healthcare, autonomous Vehicles, Image reconstruction. She also briefed the audience on the ongoing projects in AI and open platform. The participants and the students of HITS put forward their queries and had a very good interaction session with the dignitaries.
The event was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor given the inaugural address and the special address given by Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean E&T. Dr. Thangakumar J, Head of the Department welcomed the dignitaries and participants and also delivered the conference message. Dr. P. Selvi Rajendran, briefed the delegates on the objectives of the conference. The proceedings of the CIDA 2023 were released by the dignitaries.
Eminent academicians, faculty members and students from reputed institutions across the country participated in CIDA 2023.About 125 papers from students, researchers, and faculty members from various universities across India were submitted for the conference. The articles were based on AI (artificial intelligence), data analytics, ML, DL, and IOT. Over the course of two days, the papers were divided into five sessions, each of which was presided over by a session chair representing a different sector of industry or institution.
Keynote speakers from the IT sector were present. The founder and CEO of Indian Server System, Mr. Sai Satish, spoke about the problems with cyber security. CNN's basics and architecture were outlined by Dr. K. Sathyamurthy of Pondichery University. Overall, knowledge sharing on issues relating to computational intelligence and data analytics was part of the conference. It gave academics and researchers a chance to discuss research problems and advancements in the fields of artificial intelligence and its applications, cognitive informatics, pattern recognition and machine learning, information systems, data analytics and business intelligence, and the development of smart systems.
