A Motivational Talk on “My IAS Journey” by Mr. Srutanjay Narayan IAS, Assistant Collector, Thoothukudi was organised by the Office of Student Affairs on 9 September 2021. It was a blended programme where faculty and students were present in the Good Shepherd Hall and in the google meet. The young and recently selected IAS officer spoke through google meet. The Vice Chancellor, Dr. S. N. Sridhara presided over the function. The Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. R. W. Alexander Jesudasan, and the Registrar Dr. Pon. Ramalingam felicitated. Dr. A. Prabaharan, Head - Student Affairs welcomed the gathering. Ms. Jane Carolyn, a final year student of B. Tech., Cyber Security compeered the event.
Mr. Srutanjay affirmed that the civil services are the most heart filling profession where one can prove his talents. Coming from a traditional family with an eye for culture, customs, traditions combined with creativity, Mr. Srutanjay took Civil Services to enrich the long cherished Indianness. Mr. Srutanjay was very keen to study the temple architecture and science behind it. “We need to dig deep into history and use it for our future development. When you start exploring it, marvels are in store for us. After studying Geo Informatics Sciences, I am more fascinated with the development of our country, twining my knowledge on traditions and customs” added Mr. Srutanjay.a
