Leadership Conclave Series

The HITS Alumni Association & Dr. K.C.G Verghese Higher Education Leadership Management Center (HELM) organised a Leadership Conclave Series on 02 February 2024. The resource person was Mr. Utkarsh Singhania (Director, The Standard Chemical Company). He addressed a forum of two hundred-second year students from the Departments of Computer Science and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Mr. Utkarsh, in his speech, enlightened the audience on startup ideas and the prepare and faced challenges during the process of becoming an entrepreneur. Dr. Akkara Sherine, Professor (Languages), and Head- HELM Center & Rankings delivered the welcome address. She also briefed the audience on the objectives of the HELM center in organising a series of Leadership conclave in association with HITSAA where in resources persons from different industries will be invited to motivate and mentor the student community of HITS.
Ms. Pragatha VS, Coordinator – HITSAA, introduced the Chief Guest. She informed that the HITS Bravery Award was conferred on Mr. Utkarsh during the Annual Alumni Fest 2024 for saving the life of 15 students of HITS as a Surfer in the year 2017. Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice-Chancellor, greeted the chief guest and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kanpur Rani, Alumni Relations Officer.
