Hindustan Institution of Technology & Science (HITS) was designated as the King Sejong Institute (KSI) operating organization in India on 9 June 2021. HITS takes the laurel as the only institute selected in India to establish Korean Language and Culture Centre by KSI. The KSI centre at HITS is established to provide high quality education in Korean Language and Korean culture for the public.
KSI HITS held the First Semester Closing Ceremony successfully on 16 April 2022 by online mode (zoom). A total of 252 students enrolled for the course out of which 212 successfully completed their first semester. The meritorious students were awarded for their excellent performances in exams and many students performed various Korean songs and k-pop dances which were so entertaining. The event concluded with a feedback session followed by a note of appreciation shared by Ms. Sukhee Lee, Korean Teacher, & Advisor-International Affairs.
KSI HITS offers Korean language from Beginner level to Intermediate 2 course benefitting 11 Online & Offline Batches. These courses are open to all and expects a minimum qualification of passage in Grade 2+; and open for schools from Grade 6 to 8. The Second Semester course (Online mode) will be started from 1 May and last till 13 August. The total numbers of enrolment for Online class for adults is 162. And the total number of students for the next semester, including school, is expected to reach around 440.
