The King Sejong Institute – Chennai was inaugurated at HITS by H.E. Mr. Chang Jae-bok, Ambassador of Korea to India on 29 September 2022. He unveiled the King Sejong Institute Chennai HITS – sign board. In his speech he highlighted the importance of the collaboration between Korea and India. It was followed by the performance of ROK Navy Band, on the occasion of port call in Chennai.
The performance of ROK Navy Band including Samulnori, K-pop and vocal songs were well received by the audience. Ho-Jun Lee, head/conductor of the military band of the cruise training corps expressed his delight to promote Korean culture and its military diplomacy to the Indian students. RDML, Kang Dong-goo, Commandant of Midshipmen, ROK Naval Academy donated “JIJA CHONGTONG” to HITS. The Korean Embassy and Korean Navy look forward to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Korea and India through HITS.
