KEB Hana Bank Scholarship Ceremony 2025

The KEB Hana Bank Scholarship Ceremony was held on 29 January 2026 at the Bay Range Campus. The event was organised by the Office of the Student Affairs. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Chang Nyun Kim, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai and the guests of honour were: Mr. Seokhoon Jang, Managing Director, Hana Bank and Mr. Hyechan Lim, Joint General Manager, KEB Hana Bank. The Sponsors presented a cheque of $10,000/- which was distributed among 20 deserving students of both Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science and KCG College of Technology.
The Consul General, in his address congratulated the students on receiving the scholarship. He also recorded his appreciation for KEB Hana Bank on presenting sponsorship to students to help them in their academic pursuit. Mr. Kim concluded his speech by urging the students to enjoy their life by setting up their goals. The Guest of Honour Mr. Mr. Seokhoon Jang, Managing Director, Hana Bank in his address pointed out that Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science is a forward-looking institution that aims to provide a global exposure to its students. He also added that HITS stands apart because of the focus in preparing the students for the global workplace. He congratulated the recipients of the scholarship and encouraged them to maintain a positive attitude in their life.
The event commenced with the opening prayer offered by Rev. Justin Jose, Student Chaplin. The University choir rendered the national anthems of both Korea and India. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Muthukumar Subramanian, Registrar. Dr. S. Ganesan, Dean, School of Basic and Applied Science introduced the Chief Guest to audience by presenting his accolades. Later the recipients of the KEB Hana Bank received their certificates from the Bank’s Officials. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. KS. Shaji, Dean – Office of Student Affairs.
